01 About Amelia Gammell Interior Design
Founded in 2023 whilst studying Residential Interior Design at KLC School of Design.
Amelia is a Surrey based interior designer who specialises in creating timeless, character-filled, and inviting family homes. She takes pride in a fully immersive approach to each project, ensuring that every family receives the home of their dreams.
With a passion for traditional styles, and a knack for blending the old with new Amelia has worked on properties across London, Surrey and West Sussex to create a space each of her clients feels at home in. She brings a true understanding of the challenges of designing period homes and offers a fresh approach.
Amelia is based in her own period property project in Hook Heath in Surrey.

03 Our Approach
While every project is unique and we therefore approach each one individually, our overall approach strives to follow the below design process detailed below.
1 Initial meeting
Our initial meeting will be a conversation to discuss your needs, explore how you use the space and look at the overall feeling of what you want from the space to create your dream home. This initial meeting plays a vital part of the design process for both the client and the designer and the details gathered will provide essential information for us to interpret into a design.
2 Concept Design
If you would then like to proceed we will then proceed on to the most extensive phase of the project; room concepts, layouts and spacial planning. These will be accompanied with 2D and 3D sketches and visuals based on your individual requirements.
3 Design Details
Once design concepts are approved with the client we proceed to the next stage of the process, here we refine the initial designs and convert them into precise specifications. This process lets us hone into the finer details of each element of the design. We produce specification schedules, finalise budgets and produce technical drawings.
4 Procurement and Final Installation
Once the design details are complete we move into the procurement phase; we are happy to help source a wide range of elements from furniture to lighting and hardware. Where required we can help to put you in contact with other industry professionals.
As part of the final installation we can style your home as much or as little as you wish. This could involve everything from small decorative items through to lampshades and soft furnishing. We feel that incorporating clients personal items into the final design are what makes the space come together and clients feel at home.
